We are a small, friendly practice in the Victorian Seaside town of Saltburn (slightly cool in winter but shimmering like the South of France in summer).

The practice has 3 full time partners (Dr Mike Milner, Dr Kevin Fish and Dr Neil Brownlee, who is also a Course Organiser). Dr Wendy Sutton works two days a week as a salaried partner. The list size is about 6000 and we cover mainly Saltburn but have some patients in Marske and Redcar. We are paperless and fully computerised including NHS net access. We have access to GP beds in The Stead Memorial Hospital and have a minor role in Guisborough Maternity Hospital (mainly baby checks). We perform minor surgery on Thursday mornings.

Our practice is covered out of hours by Primecare but you will be asked to join one of our partners for 6 out of hours sessions each 6 months. This is to ensure that you can be signed up as proficient in out of hour’s skills.

Sister Sheila Collins is our practice nurse dynamo and Sister Lisa Kitson is our equally busy nurse practitioner. We work closely with our district nurse colleagues and have an attached Health Visitor. We also employ two Health Care Assistants who perform bloods ECGs and 24 hour BP monitoring.

The practice was approved for training in August 2002. We have recently started teaching medical students. Our aim is to ensure that your registrar year fulfils all your training needs but remains fun.

Please bring loose change for The Ship Inn and some Otosporin ear drops if you intend to go surfing.
