Marsh House Medical Centre is a large detached
building in its own grounds overlooking playing
fields in North Billingham. The practice was set up
in 1948, and moved to this purpose built building in
1958. Several modernisation programmes were carried
out between 1990 and 1997.
There are 4 partners, 3 male and 1 female, serving a
list of 8,100. The practice area is compact with its
residents coming from new, private and mature
council estates. The practice population is
predominantly young families with very few over 65
years.
The practice has a full compliment of employed and
attached staff and in addition employs a counsellor,
dietician, physiotherapist, osteopath and
chiropodist. The practice is well equipped with
ECGs, audiometer, spirometer etc. The EMIS computer
system was installed in 1991. Access to the NHS
network was established in 1996. PCs are due to be
installed throughout the building in March 1998.
Special interests include GP obstetrics, asthma and
health promotion
Outside interests of the partners include golf,
walking, fine wine, biking, cricket and Indian
music. The practice has been training for many years
and Dr Singh was appointed a trainer in 2006 and is
an ex Cleveland GP Registrar.This page was
