Study Leave
Over the last few years the assessments
trainees need to undertake in order to
qualify have changed, the entry requirements
for the PCT performers’ lists have changed
and the costs of trainees’ study leave have
increased within the Deanery.
The GP Executive (comprising the Dean
Director, the Associate Directors, GP
Business Manager and the Lead Training
Programme Directors) has therefore reviewed
the study leave policy.

see the policy, together with the letter
from Dr Graham Rutt regarding this.
Presentation re GP
Registrars’ Contractual Issues
A Recent presentation by NHS
employers has clarified some of the
questions in respect of GP registrars
particularly with regard to maternity and
travel expenses: you may find it useful. At
the moment the full version is not available
on the NHS employers’ website. When it is ,
I will replace this summary with a link to
the full version. Click

GP Scheme Forum
This is your opportunity to
give your input into how our Scheme works
and changes to be made – no forum, no
opinion! If you are interested please email hlp-pct.tvvts@nhs.net.
Amber Process
TVVTS is committed to
providing a quality learning environment.
Registrars may have differing educational
requirements. We are putting in place a
system that is designed to identify doctors
who may benefit from additional support.
This should improve communication between
the Scheme, GP Trainers/Educational
Supervisors and Hospital Supervisors to
further enhance the experience.
